A community’s growth depends on the support of it’s members with the dedication to make it better for those they live and interact with.
Volunteerism is what enables a community to grow in fellowship, friendship, and prosper. On May 1st 2008, the Ellsworth Air Force Base community honors Staff Sergeant Rhodello Nuval with the Volunteer Service Medal.
This tribute is not given out lightly. The Volunteer Service Medal is given to individuals who give of themselves on a sustained level of dedication to their community not just for a single act.
Staff Sergeant Nuval exemplifies service before self and with the support of his leaders, peers, and community members he is honored for his accomplishments. Some of Sergeant Nuval’s notable accomplishments for 2008 are:
Honored by the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce as “Mentor Of the Month” for June 2008 with a publicized article in the Rapid City Investment Report Magazine.
